Ira Zucker MD
Dr. Zucker is the co-founder of Florida Urology Physicians. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Florida. He was an academic member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society. He also received his Medical Degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Zucker completed his surgery and urology residency at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Zucker specializes in prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy, urologic prostate laser treatment and the treatment of stones and tumors in the urinary tract. Dr. Zucker is the renal transplant urologist in Lee County, one of only eight counties in Florida to perform transplants.

Brian Schwartz MD
Dr. Schwartz is co-founder and managing partner of Florida Urology Physicians. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Cum Laude. He received his Medical Degree from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Schwartz completed his surgery and urology training at the University of Rochester, New York.
Dr. Schwartz specializes in minimally invasive treatments for kidney cancer, prostate cancer, kidney stones, and incontinence, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy; and urologic prostate laser treatment. He proctors urologists in various vaginal sling procedures and Photoselective Laser Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP).

Barry Blitz MD FACS
Dr. Blitz graduated from Rider College with a degree in biochemistry, and obtained his Medical Doctorate from the University of South Florida. He completed his training in general surgery and urologic surgery at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Blitz practices all aspects of adult male and female urology. He is an expert in the application of minimally invasive therapies for benign and cancerous urologic disorders, including the use of standard and advanced state of the art laparoscopic techniques. Dr. Blitz is a regional leader in the field of microsurgery for male infertility with over 97% vasectomy reversal rate, and one of a select few urologists that performs continent urinary diversion (bladder substitution) for bladder cancer. Dr. Blitz is the Director of the Florida Urologic Research Institute, and is the Principal Investigator in a number of ongoing clinical trials.

Steven Harrison MD FACS
Dr. Harrison was raised in Fort Myers, Florida; the son of a prominent local surgeon. He attended Duke University graduating Cum Laude. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Florida. Dr. Harrison completed his surgery and urology training at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Veronique Fernandez-Salvador MD
Dr. Fernandez-Salvador graduated Cum Laude from Austin College, Sherman, Texas. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern. She completed her surgery and urology training at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
Dr. Fernandez-Salvador specializes in male and female urologic health issues. Minimally invasive treatments for kidney and prostate cancer, kidney stone disease, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and benign prostate disease are all offered. Dr. Fernandez-Salvador also has a special interest in female urologic health concerns including overactive bladder and incontinence working with patients to provide optimal non-surgical and surgical treatment options. Dr. Fernandez-Salvador leads our Neuromodulation Incontinence Program for urinary and fecal incontinence.

Bess Raulerson - Physicians Assistant
We are pleased to announce the addition of Bess Raulerson, PA-C to our growing practice. A graduate student of NOVA University, Bess Raulerson is the first physician's assistant to work with Florida Urology Physicians. Raulerson is a member of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Lee Ann Boyd ARNP
Lee Ann Boyd joined Florida Urology Physicians in 2011. With eighteen years of urologic experience, she is the only certified urologic advanced registered nurse practitioner in southwest Florida.
Mrs. Boyd received her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida and her Masters Degree as Nurse Practitioner from Florida International University.
Mrs. Boyd is certified by the ANCC Nationally Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and the CBUNA Urologic Nurse Practitioner.
Her areas of special interest are in patient education, prostate cancer, incontinence and interstitial cystitis. She has presented on a local and national basis for SUNA (Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates).
