Ira Zucker MD

Dr. Zucker is the co-founder of Florida Urology Physicians.  He received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Florida.  He was an academic member of the Phi Beta Kappa Society.  He also received his Medical Degree from the University of Florida.  Dr. Zucker completed his surgery and urology residency at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Zucker specializes in prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy, urologic prostate laser treatment and the treatment of stones and tumors in the urinary tract.  Dr. Zucker is the renal transplant urologist in Lee County, one of only eight counties in Florida to perform transplants.

Dr. Zucker is on the staff at Lee Memorial Healthpark, Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center and Gladiolus Surgery Center.

Dr. Zucker is Certified by the American Board of Urology.

Brian Schwartz MD

Dr. Schwartz is co-founder and managing partner of Florida Urology Physicians.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Cum Laude.  He received his Medical Degree from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.  Dr. Schwartz completed his surgery and urology training at the University of Rochester, New York.

Dr. Schwartz specializes in minimally invasive treatments for kidney cancer, prostate cancer, kidney stones, and incontinence, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy; and urologic prostate laser treatment.  He proctors urologists in various vaginal sling procedures and Photoselective Laser Vaporization of the Prostate (PVP).

Dr. Schwartz is on the staff at Lee Memorial Healthpark, Cape Coral Hospital, Gulf Coast Medical Center and Gladiolus Surgery Center.

Dr. Schwartz is Certified by the American Board of Urology.

Barry Blitz MD

Dr. Blitz graduated from Rider College with a degree in biochemistry, and obtained his Medical Doctorate from the University of South Florida.  He completed his training in general surgery and urologic surgery at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Blitz practices all aspects of adult male and female urology.  He is an expert in the application of minimally invasive therapies for benign and cancerous urologic disorders, including the use of standard and advanced state of the art laparoscopic techniques.  Dr. Blitz is a regional leader in the field of microsurgery for male infertility with over 94% vasectomy reversal rate, and one of a select few urologists that performs continent urinary diversion (bladder substitution) for bladder cancer.

Steven Harrison MD

Dr. Harrison was raised in Fort Myers, Florida; the son of a prominent local surgeon.  He attended Duke University graduating Cum Laude.  He received his Medical Degree from the University of Florida.  Dr. Harrison completed his surgery and urology training at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Dr. Harrison's special areas of interest are minimally invasive treatments for kidney and prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and urologic laser surgery.

Bert van Beever MD

Dr. van Beever graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey.  He received his Medical Degree from Mt. Sinai School of  Medicine, New York.  He completed his surgery training at Columbia University, New York. Dr. van Beever completed his urology training at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York, the Institute of Urology, London and the Academic Hospital Dijkzigt, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Dr. van Beever specializes in minimally invasive treatments for kidney cancer and prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and urologic prostate laser treatment.

Named Physician of the Year, 2004, Dr. van Beever is highly respected by his peers and patients.

Veronique Fernandez-Salvador MD

Dr. Fernandez-Salvador graduated Cum Laude from Austin College, Sherman, Texas.  She received her Medical Degree from the University of Texas Southwestern.  She completed her surgery and urology training at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Fernandez-Salvador specializes in male and female urologic health issues.  Minimally invasive treatments for kidney and prostate cancer, kidney stone disease, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and benign prostate disease are all offered.  Dr. Fernandez-Salvador also has a special interest in female urologic health concerns including overactive bladder and incontinence working with patients to provide optimal non-surgical and surgical treatment options.
